Warmer homes, from the outside in.
External wall insulation wraps a property in a new insulated, rendered skin. It cuts heat loss through solid walls, ends cold spots and damp, and gives tired homes a fresh new face without disturbing the people inside.
How EWI works
Insulation boards are fixed to the outside wall, reinforced with mesh and a base coat, then finished with a decorative render or brick-slip. Window sills, rainwater goods and services are adapted around the new wall line so the finished job looks like it was always there.
Because the work happens outside, residents can stay at home throughout, which makes EWI ideal for occupied social housing schemes.
What it does for a home
Solid-walled homes lose a large share of their heat straight through the walls. Wrapping them in insulation lifts internal wall temperatures, reduces condensation and mould, lowers heating bills and extends the life of the building.
